Description and Requirements

The Senior Sales Manager, NA Consumer will be responsible for leading and being the driving force behind our dedicated sales teams supporting Retailers. They will be key in developing and executing our aggressive Retail strategy for Lenovo's Consumer accounts in the US. The ideal candidate will be a leader with a successful track record driving sales of Lenovo’s product portfolio including PC, mobile devices, workstations, visuals, accessories, and services. This individual will be results oriented and driven by excellence and will also work well with all supporting verticals including their fellow peers in sales, product development, marketing, services and supply chain. This leader should have command and be able to influence at all levels throughout the organization, externally with customers and potential partners by virtue of their industry expertise. This leader will have the capacity to guide and develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry and distill this understanding into simple, straightforward solutions that make a clear difference to the customer’s and our business.

The position will be home based with 50% travel.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Develop existing pipeline and new business opportunities in North America
  • Engage senior decision makers (including C level executives), customer influencers, end-users and ecosystem partners to advance sales pursuits
  • Review and analyze market opportunities and understand current and future industry needs in the context of market dynamics to deliver and maximize our annual product lock cycles
  • Utilize a structured and repeatable business process to enable an accurate pipeline management and execution
  • Manage relationships and communications with external customers, internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Shape and execute NA business development and sales strategy across cross-functional teams
  • Align sales objectives to the corporate strategy and financial performance
  • Engage senior decision makers (including C level executives), RSA (retail sales associates) influencers and ecosystem partners to advance sales targets
  • Uncover and qualify opportunities that will accelerate and drive growth.


Basic Qualifications

  • BS required, MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years of industry experience in sales leadership or equivalent role

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Exceptional leader and coach with a focus on strong sales operations skills and the ability to form and develop relationships with customers.
  • Strong track record and demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining strong industry, professional relationships; prefer ‘C’ level engagement
  • This position requires exemplary verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills preferred and ability to articulate value proposition internally, to the market and to customers
  • Ability to hire, train/coach and develop sales teams
  • Stakeholder management ability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate our value proposition to our customers
  • Ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements
  • Relevant technical and industry acumen
  • Ability to work independently and deliver measurable results
  • Travel required
